From Farming to Iron Tour
Tour our own Brandywine Mansion (1739/1788, home of Isaac Pennock, not usually open to the public!), visit Rebecca Lukens' Grave, lunch at The Whip Tavern, and tour Primitive Hall, one of Chester County's oldest homes.

The Hall was the ancestral home of the Pennocks, an influential farming family. Isaac Pennock (born 1767) left farming and entered the iron industry, he established our very own Brandywine Iron Works, the predecessor of Lukens Steel Company.
